About the Survey
The background check to select the right candidate will be based on diversification among theses 5 skills:
A. Data concepts and environments e.g., Identify basic concepts of data schemas and dimensions, compare and contrast different data types
B. Data mining e.g. Identify common reasons for cleansing and profiling datasets, explain data acquisition concepts
C. Data analysis e.g. Given a scenario, apply the appropriate descriptive statistical methods, summarize types of analyses and key analysis techniques
D. Visualization e.g. Given a scenario, translate business requirements to form a report, given a scenario apply the appropriate type of visualization
E. Data Governance, Quality, and Controls e.g. Given a scenario, apply data quality control concepts, summarize important data governance concepts
About the CompTIA Free CompTIA Data+ Beta Exam Assessment
Step 1: CompTIA will select a mix of candidates among those participating in this initial screener survey.
Step 2: Selected candidates will officially take the Data+ Beta Exam. This first entails registering for the exam at a Pearson Vue Testing Center or Online (see list of testing centers here). Note: candidates must be living in the United States and use a U.S.-based testing center or location.
Step 3: At the scheduled time, candidates will take the exam online or travel to their assign Pearson Testing Center and sit for the exam. This will be a live exam, so CompTIA wants candidates to do their best.
Step 4: In recognition of supporting CompTIA in the Beta Exam review, CompTIA will provide a $200.00 gift card to each candidate that completes all phases of the process. Additionally, if a candidate passes the exam, they get the added benefit of having an up-to-date Data+ certification to support their career development.
